I'm Cher Onyx — and I write the kind of stories I couldn't find enough of on my own shelves.

I'm a Nebraska girl, born and built by wide open skies and stubborn prairie roots. That landscape lives in my fiction whether I plan it or not — in the back roads, the weather, the way silence can feel like pressure before a storm. My characters don't come from nowhere. They come from here.

I write paranormal romance, MC romance, and children's books, because I believe the dark and the tender aren't opposites — they're the same thing wearing different clothes. I've had experiences I can't explain and a worldview that doesn't fit neatly into boxes, and all of that finds its way onto the page.

What you'll find in my books: found family, complicated love, women who don't shrink, men who earn it, and magic that feels like memory.

I'm also a real person with a day job, a deep need to feed people I love, and a bone-deep belief that stories matter — especially the ones that don't ask permission. Pull up a chair. Stay a while. The fire's already lit.
